Prior to joining Philips, Blake was President at Banyan Branch a leading US digital agency, where he lead strategy, creative, client acquisition, and thought leadership. Prior to his agency life, he was the CMO at one of the leading Social Listening firms, Visible Technologies and has spent much of his career in marketing organizations at firms such as AT&T and Belgacom. Blake has a solid track record of measurable results with increasing responsibility in technology/digital start-ups and Global 100 organizations. He also served for 4 years on the Board of Directors at the Word of Mouth Marketing Association, WOMMA, which is a non-profit trade association dedicated to word of mouth and the social media marketing industry worldwide.

Judith Kampman is Art Buyer at BSUR Group (Dutch independent agency with offices in Amsterdam, Shanghai, Sao Paulo). She started as the art-buyer at G-STAR and works now for years at BSUR GROUP and is responsible for art-buying for photography and film for the BSUR Group.

Shandor Gancs is the Creative Director of BSUR, where he oversees the creative output for the Amsterdam, Shanghai and Sao Paulo studios. Hailing from Australia, Shandor is a multi-disciplinary creative with over 15 years experience working for numerous global fashion and lifestyle brands throughout Europe, USA and Australasia. His career has seen him lead a wide range of projects including branding, digital, retail, fashion, advertising, interiors and everything in between. Some of his commercial clients have included Aesop, Peugeot, San Pellegrino, Glenmorangie, L’Oreal Paris, Pioneer, Polaroid and Liberty of London. Nathalie is Digital Creative Director at 60 Layers of Cake. Her work is rooted in branding, designing multi-level interactive communications that are often based on gameplay. She has made several branded reality games, advertising campaigns, TV spots and gallery installations. She is deeply passionate about immersive communications and blurring the line between what’s real and what’s not. Photography, film, sound design, visual design and social structures are crucial in that whole process. She has worked in Amsterdam, Moscow and South Africa.

Wouter Boon was born, raised, and studied law in Amsterdam. After a short career as a lawyer, he switched to advertising. Today he works freelance as Boon Strategy, calling himself a “creative brand architect.” Wouter is also the founder and chief editor of Amsterdam Ad Blog, organises X-Pollination, connecting Amsterdam’s creative industry, and is the author of Defining Creativity, a book that explains “The Art and Science of Great Ideas.”

Since he entered the world of fashion and photography, Rachid has always been looking for young emerging talent, worldwide. Based in Amsterdam he has worked for clients such as Nike, Vlisco, de Bijenkorf, Anthropologie, WE, Cruyff footwear, Onitsuka Tiger, Wallpaper, Wieden + Kennedy to name a few. But next to the industry names, he works on a great deal of cultural projects as well. He works as a freelance art buyer, visual consultant and producer but is also the co-founder of Fashion Council NL, the platform to connect the Dutch Fashion Industry.

Penny Pijnenburg started off her career in television but has been working in the advertising world for the past 14 years, both on (international) agency- and client side, including 7 years at Nike. As a Senior Media Producer she has worked across a broad range of advertising genres like TV commercials, retail- and web videos, content for big events as well as photography production and art buying. She started freelancing 2 years ago. Her latest project was at adidas heading up the global production for all Football World Cup 2014 content.

Penny gets a lot of her inspiration from travelling, which she likes and does a lot, both for work and personal reasons. Her top 3 favourite cities to spend time in are: Amsterdam, Barcelona and London. In her own words: “Inspiration can come from a variety of different things like from exhibitions to architecture and from restaurant interiors to retail windows and more.”

Remy KURPERSHOEK

Remy started his career in advertising as an art director at JWT Amsterdam. After being named ‘Young Talent of the Year’ by the VEA (Dutch Association of Advertising), he made the bold but rewarding move to JWT International. By 2008 he had moved to a position at BSUR– HQ Amsterdam. In that same year, he was proudly – and gratefully– selected to represent The Netherlands at the ‘Cannes Lions Roger Hatchuel Academy’. In 2009, he joined BSUR founder/ECD Joost Perik in the development and execution of the challenging Pitch assigned for the global ‘MINI’ account’ and they won. Shortly thereafter he was offered the position of Creative Supervisor.

This position covered the selection, mentorship and supervision of all new creative talent at BSUR as well as the development and execution of incoming client-briefs & ongoing projects. After 5 years he moved to XXS, where he is currently based. In addition, he is involved at Hallo Academie as teacher/educationalist and member of their selection committee. Throughout his career he has been awarded national as well as international recognitions and awards, judged on several occasions and given his professional advice at both the 2011 pan-European ‘IHAVEANIDEA’ Portfolio Night and the Dutch ‘Young Guns’ Portfolio Night. As a Creative Director, he strives to find new ways to engage and entertain consumers in tradigital ways and by doing this, solve the business problems of our progressive clients.

Glenn is an English Art Director/Designer. He originally trained in fine art and only got into graphic design later on. Having spent several years working in advertising in London, he relocated to the creative hub that is Amsterdam four years ago. He’s currently employed as Head of Design for Iris Worldwide, helping create globally integrated campaigns for the likes of Sol, Adidas, SONOS, and Philips. He loves living and working in Amsterdam and continues to be inspired by his surroundings.

Doug Perkul serves as the Chief Marketing Officer for the surf and snow brand O’Neill. In his role he oversees and directs the creative vision for the brand globally. Before joining O’Neill, Doug served as the Managing Partner for the advertising agency Sid Lee where he worked with clients such as Red Bull, Absolut, Adidas, Tag Heuer and Dom Perignon. When not earning frequent flier miles, Doug can be found painting, surfing, snowboarding and spending time with his two children.

Olivier Teepe started his career in 1996 after receiving his MA degree in European media. After working for and with a number of agencies and beautiful minds in the Netherlands he co-founded Cloudfactory, (a boutique agency focused on co-creation and sustainability) five years ago and joined REMO - (joinremo.com - a game changing track-and-tell system for the fashion industry) exactly one year ago as a partner. Pascal DUVAL

Creative Director | G-STAR

With more than ten years of communication experience, creative director Pascal Duval has worked full time for denim brand G-Star RAW, communication agencies BSUR Concepting, Iris Worldwide and VBAT and worked freelance for agencies TBWA and Wieden + Kennedy. In 1996 he emerged with a degree in fashion design and landed his first job in the industry at clothing brand G-Sus. In 1998 he co-founded Da Bridge – a store selling anything street-style culture and spent his nights creating flyers for clubs which lead him to the world of advertising. He started as an Art Director at HCM and then moved on as an Design Director at BSUR Concepting in 1999. After BSUR, he founded Le Pas Cool in Amsterdam in 2005 where he delivered project-based communication-concepts, identities, packaging and illustrated works. In 2007, Pascal joined Wieden + Kennedy, Shanghai to work on Nike’s 2008 Olympic campaign and projects
for Chivas Regal and Nokia. After launching Heineken’s STR bottle at Iris, Pascal joined G-Star RAW in 2012 as a creative director and together with his team works on global brand experience, campaign development, digital activation and anything denim. He has directed and designed projects for Nike, MTV, MINI, Sony, Heineken, Levi’s, Greenpeace, Davidoff, O’Neill, VH1, Universal Music, ABN AMRO, Red Bull, Swarovski, Jack & Jones and Wrangler.
He has won various pitches including MINI Global for BSUR, Heineken STR for Iris and ABN AMRO for TBWA. He has recently been awarded for Heineken’s STR bottle design, G-Star’s The Art of Raw campaign and a Grand Prix in Cannes for G-Star’s Raw For The Oceans project with Pharrell Williams.
